The Richmond Group have developed a series of Physical Activity and Long Term Health Conditions Resource Packs aimed at the sport and physical activity sector, health and care organisations and the health and care workforce.

The Richmond Group of Charities (which includes Age UK) has released a new series of Resource Packs to support those living with long term health conditions to take part in physical activity. These resource packs are aimed at the sport and physical activity sector, health and care organisations and the health and care workforce. Free Development Programme for Coaches working with participants with Long Term Health Conditions

UK Coaching are offering free access to their new Coach Developer programme, for any individual who delivers physical activity interventions for participants with Long term Health Conditions.

UK Coaching are offering free opportunities for coaches working in health to access their new Coach Developer programme – this programme is open to any individual who plays a role in delivering sport and / or physical activity interventions for participants with Long term Health Conditions. Anyone wishing to apply for a Coach Developer role needs to complete the Coach Developer Application form via this link. You may also nominate up to 3 coaches for the programme via this link.

This is all free to access but Coach Developers are required to provide support to at least one of the coaches on the programme (a commitment of 8 sessions). New CPD to help support swimmers with long-term conditions now available

Swim England Qualifications are offering a new CPD to upskill individuals to support swimmers with long-term conditions.

The “Introduction to Supporting Swimmers with Long-Term Health Conditions” CPD is now available. Launched by Swim England Qualifications, this CPD aims to help swimming teachers, coaches, pool operators and carers to improve the overall experience of aquatic activity for those with long-term health conditions. It is open to all members of the aquatics community, as well as those working outside the leisure sector. Find out full details on the Swim England Qualifications website.
