In December, we announced a £5.3 million Cost of Living Response Fund to support your organisation to continue delivering much-needed services for older people during this difficult time. This is a quick reminder that the deadline for applications is Friday 20 January, find out all the details, including how to apply, below.
Grants of up to £40,000 are available per local or national partner, or up to £80,000 for one or more partners who work together, as long as your organisation’s proposal meets the grant criteria for the funding. We’ll start distributing the funding in February 2023 and it can be spent up until 31 March 2024, recognising that the impact of this crisis will be felt for months to come.
Guidance notes for this fund, along with the list of questions can be found on the Loop. We’ve also compiled a brief FAQ document with answers to the questions that you have asked us so far. We’ll keep updating and sharing this document as additional questions come through.

We are conscious that you are currently under a lot of time pressure, so we have created as short an application process as possible, requesting the minimum of information we need to record how the funds will be targeted.

To help you make sure that older people receive the help and support they need at this time, grants of up to £40,000 will be available per local or national partner (or up to £80,000 for one or more partners who work together) as long as your organisation’s proposal meets the grant criteria for the funding.

Age UK messaged CEOs and Chairs directly last week to announce the launch of a new £5.3 million Cost of Living Response Fund to support partners to continue delivering much-needed services for older people during this difficult time. We are pleased to share the news that grants of up to £40,000 are available per local or national partner. Please read on for full details, including how your organisation can apply.
Many colleagues, both locally and nationally, have highlighted to Age UK and the Age England Association (AEA) the significant impact the cost of living crisis has been having on older people and your organisations.
To help you make sure that older people receive the help and support they need at this time, this significant Cost of Living Response Fund will be targeted towards the delivery of services for older people most affected by the crisis.
Grants of up to £40,000 will be available per local or national partner (or up to £80,000 for one or more partners who work together) as long as your organisation’s proposal meets the grant criteria for the funding.
To demonstrate the impact of the funding, and to help our influencing work with Ministers nationally, we will collect some information from you to detail how you have used the support. We will try to make any reporting as minimal as possible to avoid adding lots of additional demands on your time.

Join over 35 local Age UKs in embedding a successful walking football activity within your organisation, as we build sustainable provision of the sport to impact the lives of older people.
