Extreme Weather Emergency Grant Fund Now Closed

Age UK’s Extreme Weather Emergency Grant Fund has now closed. It is estimated that the funding provided to local Age UKs will help over 2,000 older people with emergency provision.

The emergency fund set up by Age UK to assist Brand Partners with emergency activity following a succession of extreme storms last month is now closed. Almost £40,000 has been requested by 20 Brand Partners since the fund opened on the 21st of February. It is estimated the funding will help over 2,000 older people with emergency provision such as food, clothes, blankets and heaters, transport, staffing to operate additional opening hours, extra home visits, and extended information & advice help during the extreme weather and aftermath.

Sport England Announce Emergency Funding for Storm-damaged Facilities

Organisations with facilities – such as clubhouses, courts and pitches – damaged by the recent storms can apply for up to £15,000 from Sport England’s Storm Relief Fund.

Storm-damaged facilities could soon be back up and running thanks to Sport England’s new Storm Relief Fund. Organisations with facilities – such as clubhouses, courts and pitches – affected by the recent storms can now apply for grants of up to £15,000 after the organisation added an emergency storm damage option to their Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Activity Fund. London Sport Consultancy are running two free funding webinars over the next few months. Find out full details below.

Following their Introduction to Grant Funding workshop, London Sport Consultancy is running two further funding webinars. “Top Tips for Grant Funding Applications” will take place on Tuesday 22nd February from 10-11.30am, and “Project Planning and Impact Measurement” will follow on Tuesday 29 March from 10-11.30am. There is no mention upon signing up that you have to be based in London to attend, but these sessions may make reference to London-based opportunities.
