Diabetes UK have an exciting “Get Moving” programme to support people living with diabetes to start moving more and would like to share this programme with Age UK partners. They offer 3 Ways to Move, including a Physical Activity Helpline and a Free online programme of different exercises. Find out all the details below:
Diabetes UK’s 3 Ways to Move are:
- A Physical Activity Helpline, offering ongoing support, information and advice over regular phone calls
- A free online Get Moving 10 week programme where participants get to try a different gentle exercise each week, including a chance to learn more about diabetes after each session. If you have 10+ service-users with diabetes who are currently inactive then they may be able to offer a programme just for that group.
- An exercise hub with information and resources to get inspired and free videos and resources to download.
