Creative Later Life Training – free online training for local Age UK colleagues in May

Age UK Oxfordshire are offering 4 free training sessions for Age UK staff and volunteers who are looking to find out more about how creativity can support wellbeing.

During a consultation in January, local Age UKs highlighted a desire for more information on the role of creativity in relation to wellbeing and get practical knowledge and ideas for local development. As a result, Age UK Oxfordshire have designed four online training sessions running in May 2021 and are offering free places to colleagues across Age UK. Find out all the details below including how to register.

Upcoming Training Sessions:

This May we are offering the following training to all staff across all local Age UKs in England:

  • Thursday 6th May, 10.30-12pm – An introduction to the research: how creative and cultural participation supports wellbeing
  • Thursday 13th May, 2-3.30pm – Practical delivery: how to deliver a simple creative workshop using objects and archives
  • Thursday 20th May, 11-12pm – An introduction to free resources: age-friendly/ dementia-friendly creative opportunities
  • Thursday 27th May, 11-12pm – Inspiration: how local Age UKs have developed their creative offer online during lockdown
